Jack has been working in the Travel Industry in Cork for many years, initially sending people out of the country on specialist tours and group sports travel. An avid reader and fan of Irish History, Jack completed the Bord Failte Cork City & Environs training in 2010 and received a Distinction. He is well travelled and likes nothing better than to help people enjoy the best that Ireland has to offer during their visit.
Following a career in the education sector as classroom teacher and a thirty year secondment with responsibility for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of teachers in Cork schools, Bart worked for ten years as assistant librarian in University College Cork (UCC). He has also worked as Concierge in Hayfield Manor Hotel. As a Kerryman, he loves his adopted city and its extraordinary history. Likes to sing, recite or write a verse or two! He is a Fáilte Ireland trained guide, plays golf and fly fishes for trout and salmon. He can also guide as Gaeilge.
Michael is a native of Cork and spent most of his working life with Pfizers in Ringaskiddy until taking early retirement. A huge interest in local Cork history and its many characters over the centuries led Michael to the Bork Failte Cork City & Environs training in 2010.
